We are seeking a high-energy social worker with vision and proven experience in managing programs.

This person will handle all administrative and program operations of Supermarketing for Seniors, the only free grocery shopping and case management program in the town of Greenwich, CT. Additionally, this person will coordinate the Traveling Tunes program, a music program for older adults in the Greenwich community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build relationships with collaborative agencies. The candidate must also have a strong knowledge of issues and concerns associated with the elderly.

General Job Summary

Supervise a weekly grocery shopping and case management service for the homebound elderly in Greenwich.

Coordinate Traveling Tunes a program which pairs music therapists from the Music Conservatory of Westchester to perform concerts at senior housing facilities in Greenwich.

Individual and group counseling


Perform administrative and fiduciary tasks needed to assure the smooth operation of the program Conduct clinical assessments of potential shopping clients Recruit, orient, train and supervise volunteers Oversee program development and evaluation Match shopping clients with suitable shoppers Maintain consistent communication with all participants in the program Responsible for ongoing outreach and publicity of the program; conduct community presentations about the SFS program to the community Assist the executive director with grant research, writing and funding presentations Work cooperatively with Greenwich community based organizations, coordinate ancillary senior programs Represent JFS at Senior Provider Network meetings and as a board member of SWCAA Advisory Council Facilitate support groups programs at senior housing facilities Qualifications

Strong organization, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills Compassion for the elderly and the ability to communicate with them and their families MSW with experience working with the elderly a plus Salary
