Full-Time Manager, Information Resources, JCC Association

Job Description

The Manager of Information Resources is responsible for the identification, collection, organization and dissemination of informational resources for JCC Association. Analyzes and presents data related to critical issues facing the JCCs.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Data and Information Management (in-house)

– Determine existing capabilities and needs for data and information collection, management and retrieval at JCC Association. This includes Masterfile administration for all JCC staff and executives, staff directory management, Listserv administration (front-end), Masterfile clean-up.

– Client Contact:Monitor and clean-up as needed. Produce reports as needed.

– Knowledge management of purchased JCC Association communications, database and survey software, currently the software behind JCCA.me, Constant Contact, Business Objects, Qualtrics, and Survey Monkey.

2. Expand communication opportunities between and among JCC Association and the JCCs regarding information resources.

– Expand and institutionalize use of online platform, currently JCCA.me, to bring information resources to users, and crowd source information to add to platform. Work with MCELM’s Special Projects Manager in this regard.

– Explore opportunities to collaborate utilizing Listservs, discussion groups, blogs, wikis, web conferencing and other opportunities.

– Listserv Administration: monitor all Listserv conversations (currently 37). Compile all data that has 10 or more responses, then post. Respond as necessary with information/data, and copy appropriate consultants.

– Respond to JCCs with information/data as requested by consultants.

– Respond to Benchmarking data queries.

3. Team Work

– Serve as a member of the JCC Association, Mandel Center for Excellence, and Strategic Performance staff teams.

– Work with MCELM’s Special Projects Manager on selected surveys.

– Provide administrative support as needed to the Strategic Performance staff team.

4.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in information management, research, library science or related field plus two years of experience. Possess excellent organizational, oral and communication skills. Demonstrate ability to maintain effective relationships with management, employees, and JCC constituents. Thorough ability to work with on-line information technology, both front and back-ends, is essential.

Knowledge of JCC operations and the Jewish community is helpful.
