Job Description

Magen David Yeshivah is looking for Elementary Lead Teachers – Maternity Leave coverage at our Brooklyn school starting in the December/January time frame.

Great opportunity for a recent college grad or someone graduating in December. Could lead to a full-time position.


  • Lead Teacher will design and maintain a classroom environment that facilitates active, hands-on learning, group management, self-expression and choice, and inclusion of all children, parents, volunteers and staff.
  • Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress.
  • Evaluate each student’s growth in knowledge and skills in the course being taught.
  • Cultivate core Jewish values such as kindness, respect, compassion and integrity within students.

  • Required – Lead Teacher must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred – Master’s degree, hold certification and/or license in a related field with a minimum of 1-3 years of teaching experience.
