Associated Hebrew Schools, Danilack Middle School

As one of the largest Jewish middle schools in North America, Danilack serves over 400 students in Grades 6-8. The Judaic Studies Principal works in partnership with the General Studies Principal to direct all educational and administrative aspects of the Middle School. The Principals will together provide leadership and inspiration and have the opportunity to shape the future development of the Middle School.

With over 1700 students from Pre-Nursery to G8 on 4 campuses, Associated Hebrew Schools is a community school rooted in modern traditional Judaism. Associated and its team of accomplished educational leaders maintain an uncompromising commitment to educational excellence and innovation.

The candidate should be an educational professional with outstanding interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills. This leader should possess a creative educational vision, a caring attitude, practical wisdom in working with students of this age, and the ability to work in a setting where staff collaboration and community involvement are the norm.

For all its Principal positions, Associated values administrators who have been trained as leaders in both General and Jewish Education.

Specific qualifications include:

• An advanced academic background that includes one or more of the

following: Rabbinic ordination; a Doctorate or Master’s degree in Jewish or General Education, Educational Administration or Jewish Studies • 10 years of successful classroom and/or administrative experience • Previous experience as a Principal, Vice Principal or senior educational leader • Proven proficiency with text study • Mastery of modern Hebrew culture including fluency in Hebrew • Significant experience learning and/or living in Israel • Demonstrated ability to provide instructional leadership and motivate faculty.

• Proven ability to direct administrative activity and supervise a staff.

• A lifestyle that will allow one to be a role model for the traditional Jewish community
