We are looking for an intelligent and highly motivated Human Resources Assistant responsible for providing high level administrative support to the Human Resources Director in the areas of recruitment, benefits administration, training and development, legal compliance and record keeping.




Assist in the daily administration of the different functions of the Human Resources Department (Benefits, Recruitment, Annual Events,


Work with the Human Resources Director in the assessment of overall department needs and assist in the development of training and other people development and talent management programs Prepare new hire packets and new hire orientation meeting materials Process new hire paperwork and enrollments Conduct background and reference checks Create reports and analyze data, which may include turnover, exit survey responses, engagement survey results, and headcount reports Assist in the development and implementation of annual programs Assists in evaluation of policies and processes, and results of department’s initiatives in relation to established goals Manage employee paperwork process and archives personnel and benefits records assuring legal compliance Prepare and review department’s correspondence Assist with the annual evaluation and health insurance renewal process Maintain Human Resources Director’s calendar Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge of HRIS Systems, high level proficiency with Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint A bachelor’s degree with a minimum three years of Human Resources experience in a fast paced multi-unit environment Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration Excellent oral and written communication skills and superb interpersonal skills Well-developed organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills Ability to meet goals under demanding time constraints Strong ability to multi-task Demonstrated initiative and a self-starter Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels Maintain strict confidentiality with Human Resources information AFHU offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including but not limited to Medical and Dental Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403B Retirement Savings Plan, TransitChek Program, Employee Assistance Program as well as a generous time off/holiday policy.
