Full-Time General Manager

Job Description

Our Time, an acclaimed non-profit organization dedicated to helping
children who stutter, seeks a passionate and dedicated full-time General

The General Manager runs the day-to-day operations of
the office (mail, supplies, interns & volunteers, etc.), ensuring
efficient office operations and uses multi-tasking skills to provide
primary administrative support to the Managing Director, Director of
Development & Marketing, Founder & Director, Director of
Programming, as well as administrative support to other staff as needed.

Time’s General Manager is an important part of our team, supporting the
organization’s day-to-day administrative and development activities
including the following:
*Maintains incoming and outgoing mail logs;
*Prepares correspondence and mailings, including e-mail blasts;
*Facilitates communications with the Board of Trustees;
*Works with Bookkeeper on all payables/receivables;
*Works with Program Leaders to invoice/process all Programmatic Fees, including Camp Our Time;
*Maintains and updates Our Time’s donor database, including donations processing and follow up with donors;
*Provides administrative support for all departments;
efficient office management, including greeting visitors, answering
telephones, overseeing interns and volunteers, distributing faxes,
ordering supplies, providing technical support for office technology,
and opening and sorting mail;
*Provides diligent, organized and accurate filing, digitally and physically, for efficient reference in annual audit;
*Coordinates seating, ticketing and guest management for fundraising events, including an annual Benefit Gala and Fall Event;
*Coordinates ticket sales and front-of-house preparations for Programmatic performances;
and update the website (familiarity with HTML/CSS and search engine
optimization), participate in social media presence.

*Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of professional administrative experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment;
*Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail;
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint);
*Familiarity with FileMaker Pro, and database management software in general;
*Demonstrate a passion for helping and working with youth, and Our Time’s mission
*Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not essential

About Our Time

Time is a non-profit organization that has been helping youth who
stutter since 2001.  Our Time provides performing arts, speech therapy,
and summer camp programs that help children overcome the physical,
social, and emotional struggles related to stuttering.  Youth who
stutter, ages 3-18, from diverse backgrounds are welcomed into a
community of unconditional acceptance where they feel safe to express
their unique and valuable voices.  Our Time participants develop vital
communication skills, gain enriching friendships, and experience
tangible success.  To serve kids from all socioeconomic backgrounds, the

can cause extreme emotional distress in a staggering 5% of youth who
struggle not only with verbal communication but also with shame,
