The Finance Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for overseeing and managing the internal finances of ImpactIsrael in support of our mission and annual Federal and State fiscal reporting, as well as developing and implementing longer-term strategies to increase overall organizational efficiency and performance.



  • Assist Chief Executive Officer with annual budget preparation and monitor budget throughout the year.
  • Review annual budgets from our beneficiaries and incorporate into Annual Campaign goals.
  • Coordinate Annual Audit with outside auditors.
  • Work with outside auditors during 990 preparations.
  • Prepare state charity registrations and annual filings.
  • Reconcile financial records with donor database.
  • Coordinate stock donations with investment managers.
  • Work with estate attorneys and insurance brokers to facilitate financial distributions.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for Chief Executive Officer and Board.
  • Prepare quarterly/annual endowment reports.
  • Prepare annual named endowment fund evaluations.
  • Coordinate with Board Treasurer and Chair of Investment Committee to keep abreast of financial and investments status.
  • Analyze monthly capital gains/losses on investments.
  • Maintain bank and investment accounts (deposits, reconciliations, prepare checks).
  • Review monthly funds request from beneficiaries and track against year-to-date budgets.
  • Communicate with beneficiaries’ CFO to ensure proper reconciliation of monthly requests.
  • Evaluate matching grants and provide grantor reports.
  • Manage account receivables and payables.
  • Responsible for payroll, insurance and retirement benefits, Simple IRA, et al.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies manual.



  • B.S. in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience in non-profit accounting and Annual Campaigns a plus.
  • Experience with audit coordination and 990 preparations.
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online), database systems, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and Board members.
