Summary of Position


The Employer Engagement Manager develops the strategy, leads and executes the agency’s Employer Engagement program. The Employer Engagement Manager operates internally, collaborating with program staff, and externally, performing outreach to local employers to cultivate and steward employers partners that will yield jobs for JVS clients and/or donations to the agency. Essential Functions Sales Analysis In collaboration with our sector managers (e.g., retail) identify potential employers with which to cultivate relationships that will lead to jobs or skill-building programs for JVS clients.

Sales Support Partner closely with JVS Employment and Workforce Specialists to lead cultivation and stewardship activities with employer partners. Relationship Management Lead ongoing employer relationship management initiatives at JVS.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.

Demonstrated experience in:

Sales or a sales support role, in private or non-profit sector, Working effectively in a matrixed organization to achieve results, Leading cross-functional teams to implement process improvements to achieve planned results.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to make sound and timely decisions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including relationship management, patience, diplomacy, and tact.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines and objectives.

Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor and appearance including the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and manage multiple projects in a very fast-paced, performance-oriented environment. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diverse staff and clientele.

Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) or similar programs, relational databases (such as and Internet research abilities.
