Full-Time Editor in Chief of New Voices

Job Description

The Jewish Student Press Service is seeking a qualified applicant for the joint full-time position of JSPS Executive Director and Editor in Chief of New Voices, an independent online magazine written by and for Jewish college students. The start date is flexible, beginning either with the 2013 spring semester or the following summer. The position is traditionally filled by a recent college graduate.

Now a web-based publication, New Voices was started in 1991 by the Jewish Student Press Service (est. 1971). New Voices covers Jewish issues from a student perspective. The JSPS has launched the careers of countless journalists now working in the Jewish and mainstream media, as well as the careers of many successful leaders of the Jewish community and beyond.

The salary is $32,000 and includes health benefits.

The new ED/EIC will work out of our New York office.
