Job Description

Outreach (85%), fundraising, Refine, expand and implement existing fundraising strategy, including:

1. Cultivate large individual donors by maintaining relationships and pursuing leads generated through own network, TYO network and related events.

2. Grow a TYO ambassador program, attracting 5K donors and managing related relationships and events/programs.

3. Oversee responses to private and governmental calls for proposals, with TYO Deputy Director and other team members leading identification and drafting process.

4. Develop relationships with corporate donors to attract CSR/marketing and/or individual employee donations.

5. Drive online giving, in close cooperation with DD and existing social media strategy.

Public relations:

1. Cultivate media contacts to generate coverage of TYO.

2. Contribute to the conceptual and logistical management of TYO events – usually 1-3 major events annually.

3. Advance TYO’s profile in the Washington DC, US and globally through events and informal networking.

Partnerships:

1. Maintain, advance relationships with partner organizations.

2. Cultivate relationships with new organizations that could benefit TYO’s programs, visibility or strategic growth.

Organizational development (15%) Management:

1. Champion and coordinate internal communications including weekly thematic calls with field offices about TYO’s programmatic work.

2. Oversee staff and interns (now 2) working out of US office.

3. Provide oversight of TYO’s overall operations, growth, and strategy.

Strategic development:

Work closely with TYO team to refine and develop TYO’s systems to improve performance and enhance replication.
