NCJW NY seeks an exceptional Director of Outreach and Engagement to lead our effort to engage Jewish women as agents of social change. The Director will report to the Executive Director; this is a high profile strategic position for our organization. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to take on this challenging and exciting opportunity.


Outreach – Develop, execute, and evaluate,

Outreach strategy using best engagement, organizing, and marketing practices to reach Jewish women Strategy to meet NCJW NY membership targets Local brand awareness strategy including public relations and press strategy Online organizing and community building strategy and web presence

Engagement – Develop, execute, and evaluate,

Engagement strategy using best practices to engage Jewish women as agents of social change through programming, community service, advocacy initiatives, and other means Strategic and appropriate social media campaigns

Establish measurable goals for all Outreach and Engagement activities.

Monitor and amend as necessary all programs and work plans to ensure that strategic goals are on track to be met. Consistently analyze, develop, and report data on outcomes of all strategies.

Develop and monitor annual budgets (income and expense) for all Outreach and Engagement activities.

Special projects as needed.


The Director of Outreach and Engagement should have knowledge of Jewish programming and traditions and strong experience in developing programs for women. The Director must have a strong commitment to the NCJW mission; be proficient in marketing methodologies; be scrupulous in preparing and managing budgets, and be an exceptionally good public speaker. The manager should be comfortable working with volunteers.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated,

Strong experience managing community outreach and engagement efforts for a membership organization Expert familiarity and agility using social media and other new and emerging communication technologies Excellent written and communications skills Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and self-motivated Ability to work collegially on a team and with an entrepreneurial spirit Experience in marketing, grass-roots organizing, or advocacy a plus College degree
