Job Description

Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, USA Operations, the Director of Development will be responsible for developing, managing and executing an individual giving program for donors that give $5k and below. The position with also work in partnership with the Director of Operations and Communications. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performance and a strong knowledge of best practices in fundraising and knowledge of the Tri-State Jewish community, donor cultivation and solicitation skills, as well as development events. The position requires a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, well-developed computer skills and the ability to work in a small team-oriented environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must have a Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of development experience and a proven track record in successfully cultivating and closing gifts. Excellent written communication, research, interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Some travel may be required around the NYC area.

It is compromised of multiple campuses and programs that help people in need from infancy to young adulthood. The main campus in Migdal Ha’emek has multiple schools and dorms for children across the religious spectrum. Throughout Israel there are youth clubs and special training schools to help give young people a real future. The majority of the people served are children that are comprised of orphans, the impoverished, and the underprivileged. The staff of 800+ ensures that all of Migdal Ohr’s children across Israel have their individual needs met with love and tremendous sensitivity.
