JEWISH WOMEN INTERNATIONAL (JWI) is the leading organization championing the security of women and girls, promoting healthy relationships and economic independence through innovative programs, advocacy and philanthropic initiatives.

THE JWI DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT oversees all aspects of JWI’s fundraising, including major donor campaigns, foundation giving, direct mail and major events.

THE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER helps coordinate the organization’s fundraising efforts including major donor campaigns, foundation fundraising, member giving, e-fundraising and major events. The Development Manager will guide, implement and manage the National Library Initiative.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with director on donor giving campaigns; manage current relationships, identification and cultivation of new prospects for solicitation Work with director to develop grant-seeking strategy; research funding sources and opportunities Lead JWI’s foundation and corporate grant writing for projects Manage direct mail and targeted mail campaigns; expand and manage e-fundraising campaign; report on and analyze results Provide leadership on event management/fundraising efforts Coordinate social marketing/media efforts of the department Work with JWI staff and lay leadership to identify and solicit potential funders Lead the National Library Initiative by identifying potential donors, coordinating fundraising initiatives and establishing longer term engagement projects Work with key staff in Development, Program, and Marketing Departments to maximize and coordinate solicitation efforts Other duties as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

B.A. degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ of experience in development Excellent writing and communication skills Experience with charitable and family foundation as well as corporate giving Skill in donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship Experience leading e-fundraising/web fundraising campaigns Knowledge and proficiency fundraising software, running and analyzing reports a plus Experience with event management
