Full-Time Deputy Director for Community Organizing and Mobilizing

iReform is hiring a Deputy Director for Community Organizing and Mobilization.  The primary responsibility of the Deputy Director is to manage iReform’s parent and community training, organizing and mobilization efforts, including the ongoing management of iReform’s parent and community organizers and volunteers.  iReform has aggressive goals for organizing parents and community in support of school reform, and the Deputy Director is charged with ensuring the organization effectively and organically achieves its outreach and mobilization goals, using proven, effective, and cutting-edge methods.


iReform seeks an experienced Deputy Director.  The Deputy Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing parent and organizing plans aligned with the organization’s outreach and mobilization goals; executing organizing plans in a timely, effective, and professional manner; coordinating outreach and mobilization teams; training parent, student, and community organizers on effective outreach and mobilization methods; managing outreach and mobilization contact information and databases, ensuring the integrity of community-contact data and timely and effective follow-up; using digital and technological platforms to coordinate and expand outreach and mobilization opportunities; developing training and organizing curricula for iReform’s parent training academies; ensuring iReform has a visible and active community presence; and building relationships with local community

leaders.  The Deputy Director reports directly to the Executive Director.


Experience developing, managing, and executing effective field and mobilization campaigns; experience managing and coaching multiple staff members and volunteers; skilled in team-based, volunteer-led organizing, as well as experience with paid workers; comfortable with managing from metrics and has an understanding of field and contact data; familiarity with organizing technology platforms; high attention to detail; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; ability to effectively execute and achieve clear deliverables; effective organizational and time-management skills; the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate on a team.

Compensation: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
