Job Description

The Juveniles Starting Over program (JSO) at Westchester Jewish Community Services is seeking applicants for a 21 hour per week, with benefits,  JSO Coordinator. The Coordinator will supervise clinicians across four WJCS clinics but would be located primarily in Hartsdale, NY.

Responsibilities:

Coordinator will oversee program that assesses and treats children and adolescents with problematic sexual behavior and adjudicated juvenile sexual offenders The JSO Program operates within larger program that treats people who have experienced sexual abuse and/or family violence. (Treatment Center for Trauma and Abuse, see WJCS website for more information).

The on policy development within a System of Care network (DSS, Probation, Therapeutic Housing, Residential Treatment Facilities) is expected. Coordinator will also be closely involved with TCTA program and will continue to integrate both programs through trainings, participation in meetings, and consultation. There is an expectation that coordinator will be a member of the NYSATSA (NYS chapter for Association of Treatment of Sexual Abusers) and ATSA (national chapter). Research backcoordinator will supervise clinicians who treat youth with problematic sexual behavior, as well as maintain a caseload of similar children and adolescents. A cross-systems approach including involvement with probation department, DSS, and victim-centered services is required. Involvement in Westchester Countywide meetings that are focused ground is preferred.

On-going clinical supervision and training in the WJCS Educational Institute. Bi-lingual, Spanish-English a plus.

Qualifications: Previous training in evaluating and treating youth with problematic sexual behavior is required. Experience in conducting clinical supervision is strongly preferred. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or LCSW, and be licensed in NY.  Applicants should submit: (1) a detailed resume; (2) a 1-page cover letter describing their qualifications for the position and relevant experience.
