Graduate School of Education/ Lander Center for Educational Research

Reports to: Director, Lander Center

Status: Full-Time

FLSA: Non – exempt

Location: Manhattan

Provides overall support to the Lander Center for Educational Research and its staff.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provides overall support to the Lander Center to assist in implementation of the staff’s respective areas of responsibility, including with respect to the Center’s partnership, collaborative, and grant projects Prepares written materials (e.g. reports, correspondence, minutes) as needed Coordinates Center activities and events (e.g. meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.), including with respect to scheduling, arranging for space, preparing materials, etc.

Oversees organization of data and sets up databases; analyzes data and prepares data reports Conducts research and prepares materials as needed Serves as an advocate for the Lander Center with internal and external constituencies Assists with the Center’s proposal development for grant submissions to federal, state, and private agencies Maintains and updates the Lander Center homepage on Touro’s website and prepares new material for it as needed Orders supplies and prepares personal and travel reimbursements as needed Establishes and maintains the Center’s filing and record-keeping systems


Education, Preparation, and Training

Master’s degree preferred

At least three years of prior relevant experience


Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to take initiative and to work independently

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Proficiency in SPSS
