Partners for Progressive Israel (formerly Meretz USA), a progressive American Zionist non-profit dedicated to peace, democracy, and equality in Israel, is seeking an energetic, dedicated, detail-oriented individual to fill the part-time position (20

hours/week) of administrative assistant and Israel internship project coordinator. This entry-level position is available immediately.



• Maintain organization’s database and email lists • Maintain organization’s (light) bookkeeping • Coordinate and staff Board and Committee meetings • Assist with mailings and other donor communications, such as gift acknowledgments • Manage contact with service providers • Other administrative tasks, such as photocopying, faxing, answering telephones


• Coordinate Israel internship project, including:

• Market internship – coordinate communications with target audience • Coordinate intake of applications • Work with Board Committee to coordinate applicant interviews • Coordinate follow-up with interns and alumni interns • Write and edit materials related to internship project


• Bachelor’s Degree (Spring 2013 graduate could be considered) • Familiarity with Israel-related issues and organization’s philosophy • Self-starter, able to work in small-team setting • Attention and commitment to detail • Organizational skills • Cheerful, good humored personality • Effective communicator, oral and written • Computer proficiency • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel,



• Knowledge of QuickBooks • Basic Hebrew-language skills
