Who are we? TalentEd is a new global non-profit organization that seeks to address the growing challenge of recruiting and retaining high-quality educators in Jewish education. As a start-up, we map the demand in Jewish formal and informal education, profile those who can deliver, and ultimately match them successfully while providing them with a support network and mentoring. Our long-term goal is to discover untapped talent – those who with the right training, mentoring and support – can join the system and become excellent Jewish educators. To increase the placement success rate, we offer pre-service training as well as first-year coaching. TalentEd is a partnership between several organizations including Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools (US), PaJeS (UK), JAFI and the Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs. Job Overview: The US TalentEd Regional Director is the local director responsible for connecting candidates, educational institutions, and the TalentEd headquarters in Israel. Responsibilities and Duties: Manage the recruitment process of talented educators in Jewish education (a minimum of 40 educators the first year, scaling up each year). Develop and maintain relationships with US educational institutions. Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and perform skills assessments tests for potential Jewish educators. Maintain a vigorous vetting system for candidates. Frequent travel to multiple sites around the US. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. Experience in teaching in a Jewish educational setting. Knowledge and understanding of the Jewish educational system. Excellent interpersonal skills; superb judge of character. Dynamic, hardworking, and organized. Tech-savvy: proficient with both Microsoft suite; proficient in social media preferred. Working knowledge of Hebrew preferred. Ability to work independently and take responsibility. Skilled at creating reports and quarterly reviews. Available for immediate start. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
